Shepherds Huts
Gee’s bespoke shepherd’s huts were designed with both charm and functionality in mind. Each hut featured a fully equipped kitchen with a full-sized fridge and a baby Belfast sink, accented with copper fixtures and painted in Farrow & Ball paint. The interiors were enriched with oak elements, including engineered oak flooring, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The huts also included a full shower system, a compost toilet, and a cleverly designed pull-out 4ft bed. Adding a personal touch, all curtains, blinds, and the bed covers were custom-made to complete the look.
Gee specialized in shepherd’s huts for several years, taking on a hands-on approach and leading the project from start to finish. Working alongside another carpenter, she built the huts entirely from scratch, crafting each element with care and precision. Gee not only constructed the huts but also managed every aspect of the project, from quoting and budgeting to coordinating the build process.
Gee designed and implemented a six-way consumer unit with a 32-amp hookup, installed first- and second-fix electrics. She outsourced specialized areas like fitting the boiler system and wood burner flue. Her craftsmanship extended beyond construction, as she custom-mad curtains, blinds, and sofa bed covers, adding a personal and thoughtful touch to the final product.
Gee’s skill and attention to detail brought these huts to life, blending rustic charm with modern amenities to create a truly unique and comfortable living space.
